Celebrating the Expansion of the University Station Eye Clinic

In October, the UW Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences and UW Health Ophthalmology celebrated a new chapter in patient care with the official unveiling of the newly renovated and expanded UW Health University Station Eye Clinic in Madison, Wisconsin.

The upgraded space expands ophthalmology, optometry and optical service footprints to improve our overall patient, provider and staff experiences.

Optical Shop

A newly remodeled and enlarged Optical Shop with an increased frame selection and expanded appointment availability

Dedicated Retina Service

A dedicated space for all retina service patients on the 1st floor

Increased imaging services

Imaging services embedded within the Retina and Uveitis service areas, along with increased imaging services offered throughout the building

User Experience Upgrades

A user-friendly layout and wayfinding

CERU

Consolidation of the Clinical Eye Research Unit on the third floor with new offices, imaging, and clinical examination rooms

Low Vision

A move and expansion of the Low Vision Service, now with a rehabilitation component, to the garden level

Surgical Skills Transfer Laboratory

Development of a new Surgical Skills Transfer Laboratory with multiple bays with surgical microscopes and a simulation center
